As Director for Individual Practitioners, I want to harness our collective lived experience to help bring about change.
Freelancers are the lifeblood of our cultural sector. I know this because I used to be one – for over a decade I was an independent curator.
Demonstrating double header
Our thirst for enriching cultural experiences could not be fulfilled without the dedication of a whole range of freelancers working across art-forms, including artists, producers, technicians, and more.
We do this by working with the Department for Education, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, cultural organisations and artists, schools, cultural partners, broadcasters, local authorities, Higher and Further Education institutions and other partners.
Thanks to National Lottery players, we also distribute funds from National Lottery Good Causes to projects aimed at children and young people

Join our Teaching for Creativity TeachMeet series, offering educators who are passionate about teaching for creativity a safe and inspiring space to share their personal experiences, ideas and pedagogies with like-minded individuals from across the country.
